Money, ownership and control
What is your payment schedule, exactly?
Nothing at the demo stage. After that, larger projects are split into stages: you pay for a stage before it begins, and you approve each one before the next starts. Any advance covers work already reserved, so it is non-refundable once we have started. The exact split is in your written quote, and the full rules are in our refund policy.
Who owns the code, the domain and the hosting when we're done?
You do. The domain and hosting accounts are set up in your name from the start, so they are yours throughout. Ownership of the finished work transfers to you on full and final payment — that is written into our terms, not just promised here.
What if I want to leave — do I get my files?
Yes. Once the work is paid for it is yours, and we hand over the files and every account login. We do not hold your domain, your hosting or your code as leverage. You can take it to any other developer, and we will not make that awkward.
What happens if the project runs over the deadline?
You hear about it from us before the date, not after. Your timeline is agreed in writing before work starts, and if something slips we tell you why and what the new date is. We do not offer an automatic penalty or refund for a late delivery — if that matters for your project, say so and we will agree the terms in writing up front rather than pretend otherwise.
What if I want changes or don't like something?
We share progress at every step, so there are no surprises. Revisions are part of the process until you're happy.
WordPress or custom code — how do you decide?
By what your project actually needs, not by what pays us more. WordPress or WooCommerce wins when your content and products are fairly standard and you want to edit things yourself. Custom wins when your pricing, stock or ordering rules do not fit what an off-the-shelf platform expects, or when plugins would need so much bending that they become the problem.
